How to play Folsom Prison

You're locked in a maximum-security yard where the cells start shut and only open when the right symbols land. Cockroaches are your way out: each roach carries a multiplier up to 10× and crawls across the grid, stamping that value onto every symbol it touches. When several roaches cross the same spot, their multipliers stack. Folsom Prison is a very high volatility, ways-to-win slot from Nolimit City. It starts with 16 paylines on a restricted 5-reel grid, expanding up to 46,656 ways as special symbols unlock cells. Cockroach Nest wilds create walking multipliers that stack on symbols they cross. A full 4-6-6-6-4 grid with stacked cockroach multipliers can award 75,000x your stake. Here is how you play.

Pick your stake and spin the 5-reel grid.
Watch for matching symbols on adjacent reels from left to right.
Land wilds, scatters, xSplit, or xWays symbols to unlock adjacent locked cells.
Two scatters convert into a feature symbol if they do not trigger a bonus, while three scatters trigger the Walk The Line free spins.
Four scatters trigger The Great Escape free spins.
Toggle xBet to increase your stake and boost the chance of triggering a bonus round.

Key mechanics

xWays: These symbols transform into a normal paying symbol but with varying symbol height or count, which increases the number of ways to win on that reel.
xSplit: These symbols appear on the central two rows of reels 2-5 and split every symbol they touch, doubling the number of symbol positions and the number of win ways on affected reels.
Cockroach Nest / Cockroach Wilds: The Cockroach Nest symbol creates walking cockroach wilds that move across reels and rows, applying their multiplier (up to 10x each) to every symbol they touch.
Locked Cells / Cell Unlocking: At the start of every spin, only limited positions are active. The rest are locked cells above and below. When a wild, scatter, xSplit, or xWays lands, it unlocks the closest locked positions on that reel.
xBet (ante toggle): This toggle increases the stake and boosts the chance of triggering the main bonus.
Walk The Line: This is a free-spin feature where scatters only land on reel 5, and special mechanics are more common.
The Great Escape: This is a bonus tier where the grid starts more open, modifiers are more frequent, and the potential to reach the max win is concentrated.

Bonus rounds

Walk The Line Free Spins: Landing three scatters in the base game triggers this round. Scatters can only land on reel 5 during this feature. Cockroach Nest symbols appear more often, and the grid tends to start more unlocked than in the base game. Additional scatters can upgrade the feature or add spins.
The Great Escape Free Spins: This round requires four or more scatters, or an upgrade from Walk The Line. The grid is often closer to fully unlocked from the start, and Cockroach Nest wilds and xSplit are significantly more frequent. Extra scatters or specific symbol combinations can add spins.
