How to play Octo Attack

Dive into dark waters where a giant octopus has claimed the reef and everything in it. Your job is to grab clusters of at least 5 matching symbols before the tentacles do. When Tenta-Grab fires, the octopus wraps its arms around your clusters and drags them together, merging small wins into larger ones while wild multipliers up to 10× stack on top. Octo Attack is a medium volatility, cluster-pays slot from Hacksaw Gaming. Wins form from clusters of 5 or more matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically on a 6x5 grid. Wild symbols can carry multipliers up to 10x, boosting cluster values. Fill the grid with premium Shark symbols and the top win pays 10,000x your stake. Here is how you play.

Pick a stake and spin the 6x5 grid.
Watch for clusters of 5 or more matching symbols to form. Winning symbols are removed, and new symbols cascade in from above.
Look for Wild symbols, which substitute for all regular pay symbols and can carry multipliers from 1x to 10x.
Land 3 or more Free Spin scatter symbols to trigger the main Free Spins bonus round.
During Free Spins, the Tenta-Grab mechanic activates more frequently, combining clusters and increasing win potential.

Key mechanics

Tenta-Grab: The octopus uses its tentacles to grab and collect clusters or symbols, often combining multiple clusters, upgrading values, or moving them to a special area.
Eye of Otto: This mechanic marks, upgrades, or transforms clusters and may add multipliers or special effects to the grid.
Eighth Arm Is The Charm: This feature grants an enhancement such as extra grabs, symbol transformations, or additional cascades within the bonus structure.
Give Me Eight: This feature awards eight of something (spins, grabs, or special actions) or focuses on eight symbols/positions, contributing to additional cluster formation or value boosts.
Cascading Reels: Symbols from winning clusters are removed, and new symbols fall from above, potentially chaining multiple wins from a single spin.

Bonus rounds

The main free spins bonus triggers when 3 or more normal Free Spin scatter symbols land simultaneously in the base game. It features a higher likelihood of Tenta-Grab activation, more wild symbols and multipliers, and increased appearance of Eye of Otto symbols.
An enhanced bonus round is implied via Epic Scatter Symbols and named mechanics like Eighth Arm Is The Charm and Give Me Eight. It features more aggressive Tenta-Grab use, higher frequency and strength of wild multipliers, and increased appearance of Eye of Otto and other modifiers.
