How to play Twisted Lab

Walk the corridors of a laboratory where every experiment has mutated beyond recognition and the only exit is through the RotoGrid. Your task is to land the octagonal RotoGrid symbol anywhere on the grid. Each one makes a lab rat crank the entire 5×5 layout ninety degrees, tipping every beaker on screen and spilling wild symbols down the columns below. Gather four scatters and the Twister bonus fires, where multiplier boxes show a different value on each of their four sides, only the number on top counts. Collect it with a Collector symbol before the grid rotates again or watch that value subtract from your total when the feature ends. Twisted Lab is a medium-high volatility, fixed-lines slot from Hacksaw Gaming. It presents a 5x5 grid where matching symbols pay across 19 fixed lines from left to right. Landing a RotoGrid symbol rotates the entire grid, potentially creating new wins as Oozing Beakers spill wilds. Triggering the Twister bonus with 4 scatters can lead to a top win of 15,000x your stake by accumulating multipliers. Here is how you play.

Pick a stake and spin the 5x5 grid.
Watch for 3, 4, or 5 matching symbols to land on any of the 19 fixed lines, starting from the leftmost reel.
Land a RotoGrid symbol to make the grid rotate 90 degrees up to 4 times, with Oozing Beakers spilling wilds as it turns.
Collect 3 scatter symbols to trigger 10 RotoGrid Free Spins, where RotoGrid symbols appear more often.
Land 4 scatter symbols to start the Twister bonus, where Twister boxes show multipliers on their four sides, and Collector symbols add active values to a global multiplier.

Key mechanics

RotoGrid: An 8-sided RotoGrid symbol landing anywhere on the grid triggers a lab rat to rotate the entire 5x5 grid 90 degrees clockwise, up to 4 times, after current wins are paid.
Oozing Beakers / Ooze Wilds: Beaker symbols spill their contents as the grid rotates, turning positions beneath them into wild symbols that can combine multipliers if multiple flows overlap.
Twister Multipliers: In the Twister bonus, special Twister boxes populate the grid, each showing a multiplier value on its four sides, with the top side being the active value.
Collector: This symbol appears only in the Twister bonus and adds the currently active Twister multiplier values to a global multiplier.
Lives / Respin counter in Twister bonus: In the Twister bonus, players start with 3 lives, which reset to 3 each time a Twister or Collector lands, and decrease by one when only dead symbols land.

Bonus rounds

RotoGrid Free Spins (3 scatters): It awards 10 free spins. RotoGrid symbols appear more frequently, leading to more grid rotations and Oozing Beakers spilling wilds.
Twister Bonus (4 scatters): You enter a grid with only Twister, Collector, and Dead symbols. You start with 3 lives. Landing a Twister or Collector resets lives to 3, while a spin with only Dead symbols consumes one life. The feature ends when lives reach zero.

How does Twisted Lab's RotoGrid work?

The RotoGrid is a core mechanic that rotates the entire 5x5 grid. When an 8-sided RotoGrid symbol lands, it carries 1 to 4 charges. Each charge makes a lab rat rotate the grid 90 degrees clockwise after any current wins are paid. This re-aligns symbols on the fixed paylines, potentially forming new wins. How does the RotoGrid feature work in Twisted Lab?

The RotoGrid feature activates when a special 8-sided RotoGrid symbol lands. Each rotation can create new winning combinations along the fixed paylines. If Oozing Beaker symbols are present, they spill wilds onto the grid during these rotations, increasing win potential.

What is the Twister bonus in Twisted Lab and how do the multipliers work?

The Twister bonus features special Twister boxes, Collector symbols, and "Dead" symbols. Twister boxes display a multiplier on each of their four sides, with the top side being the active value. Blue Twister symbols can offer values up to 1000x, while pink ones reach up to 10x. Collector symbols gather these active Twister values and add them to a global multiplier. If uncollected Twister values remain at the end of the feature, they can be subtracted from the overall multiplier.

Is it better to trigger Twisted Lab's bonuses naturally or buy them?

The game offers buy-in options for both the RotoGrid free spins and the Twister bonus. The 3-scatter free spins are generally more attainable through natural play and offer a more stable experience. The 4-scatter Twister feature is rarer in natural play and is considered a high-risk, high-reward option, often seen as the primary path to the slot's top win potential.

Can you lose multiplier value in the Twister feature?

Yes, you can lose multiplier value in the Twister feature. If the bonus round ends and there are Twister values showing that have not been collected by a Collector symbol, these uncollected values can be subtracted from your overall multiplier. This mechanic adds a risk-reward element to the bonus round.
